Encryption

• Our hard drives that store finished documents are protected with Check Point Full Disk Encryption software that is FIPS 140-2 compliant.
• Our staff uses PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) for all transmissions of electronic mail that contain sensitive data or personally identifiable information.

Firewalls

• We use ESET 3.X Business Antivirus software throughout the entire network.
• Our LAN is protected by a dedicated, hardware firewall, as well as software firewalls which include Proventia.
• We require all medical transcriptionists to have either Norton or McAfee antivirus software on their system.

Training

• Our company takes part in an annual program through the VA which includes both privacy and cyber security training.
